IMTEX 2027 is scheduled for 21–27 January 2027 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre in Bengaluru. The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association announced the exhibition in October 2026, together with Tooltech and Digital Manufacturing.

The organizer says the show will bring together more than 1,200 exhibitors from 24 countries across around 85,000 square metres of display space. Those numbers are organizer projections for the forthcoming event, not confirmed final attendance or exhibitor totals.

Machine tools, tooling and connected production

The event covers machine tools and their application environment, including precision tooling, automation and digital manufacturing. For CNC manufacturers, that combination matters because changing a machine configuration often requires new programs, process tooling, measurement routines and support skills.

A shop evaluating a five-axis centre, for example, should also assess the CAD/CAM postprocessor, collision simulation, tool-setting method and fixturing that allow the machine to deliver reliable production.

The organizer has identified parallel activities such as an international machining-technology seminar and an industry-academia programme. Those sessions may help visitors understand technical developments beyond the displays, but the current programme should be checked before scheduling meetings. A published event preview should not claim that an individual machine or supplier will be shown unless a current exhibitor announcement identifies it. That is especially important with a show several months away.

Where buyers should focus

For equipment buyers, the most valuable conversations concern production requirements and local technical support. Questions should cover commissioning, operator training, spare parts, software compatibility and the process data available after installation. A technology that looks compelling in a trade-show demonstration may need further development for a different material or tolerance class. Buyers should request comparable part trials and consider how quality assurance and automation will fit into the existing plant.

IMTEX 2027 also provides an opportunity to understand India's evolving machine-tool supply chain, including tooling and software partners. Its established dates and location make it suitable for advance planning, while the detailed exhibitor programme remains subject to update.
