The daily problem for many small CNC shops is not finding another machining strategy but keeping existing machine tools supplied with parts. At JIMTOF 2026 in Tokyo, Tezmaksan is showing the CubeBOX Blues DR Mini, a compact drawer-based robotic loading system supported by RoboCAM+ software. Its technical information specifies a maximum workpiece height of 135 mm, and solid steel round-bar workpiece diameters from 5 mm to 350 mm. Those limits must not be interpreted as a blanket guarantee for every part: available gripping force, centre of mass, reach and fixture arrangements can impose additional restrictions. It supports 3D visualization, DXF-based layout information and tracking of parts as they move through an automation cycle. The intended advantage is simpler setup of robot handling tasks without conventional robot programming for each change. A software-guided workflow still needs a reliable, repeatable production sequence. Machine interface compatibility, door interlocks, chuck or fixture confirmation, safe robot reach and program completion signals all require careful integration. The JIMTOF demonstration should be treated as a chance to evaluate those details rather than proof of an unattended production rate. ## What workshops should ask Useful questions for a live demonstration include the largest and smallest real workpieces handled, typical setup time after a part-family change, how failed picks are recovered, and how the system handles partially completed drawer queues. Buyers should also establish how spare-part support and integration responsibilities are divided between the machine-tool vendor and the automation supplier. The Blues DR Mini is an established product in the manufacturer's catalogue; the October story is its exhibition demonstration, not necessarily a first-time product launch.
