Global Industrie returns to Eurexpo Lyon on 15–18 March 2027. CNC visitors should examine process-chain connections rather than treating machining and robotics as unrelated stands.

[Global Industrie](<https://www.global-industrie.com/en/>) returns to Eurexpo Lyon on 15–18 March 2027 with metalworking technology, digitalization and industrial services in one event. Its planned International Metrology Congress and Metrology Village give CNC suppliers a specific reason to look beyond machine-tool displays.

The International Metrology Congress and the related Metrology Village make the inspection side of production unusually prominent in the exhibition programme. For machine shops supplying high-value components, measurement is not an afterthought: a new machining strategy matters commercially only if its resulting features can be verified against drawing requirements and recorded consistently. That gives metrology suppliers a direct place in discussions about faster or more connected manufacturing.

The exhibition's thematic areas include industrial digitalization and AI, production and maintenance, logistics, energy and environmental technology. Software demonstrations may cover manufacturing execution systems, equipment connectivity and monitoring, while production suppliers address metal cutting and the physical movement of parts. Attendees should distinguish a complete deployed system from separate components that still require application engineering.

A second reason for CNC suppliers to consider the event is that industry data cannot be separated from inspection. A software provider may show how to collect process information from several machines, but the quality team needs to know which part that information describes and whether it meets its specification. The planned metrology programme could help visitors compare measurement and data integration approaches rather than evaluating each technology independently. For CNC businesses, the breadth is useful precisely because many improvements are not achieved on the machine itself. A faster spindle cannot compensate for poor fixture preparation, an unreliable supply of tools or delayed inspection. A factory investment often involves several suppliers whose equipment must work together.

## Why measurement belongs in the manufacturing conversation

An event running across several industries can also make it harder to find the most relevant exhibitors. CNC visitors can work backward from a process challenge: for example, repetitive manual loading, a metrology bottleneck or program transfer between CAM and the controller. That defines which stands or demonstrations have the strongest practical relevance.

Global Industrie is an opportunity to compare alternative production strategies, not to infer a guaranteed return from trade-show demonstrations. A shop preparing to invest should bring representative part data, throughput targets and quality requirements, then ask suppliers how installation, support and data ownership are handled. Such questions help separate an appealing exhibit from a qualified process.

The organizer has confirmed the dates and sectors, while individual demonstrations and the final conference programme remain subject to change. For European machining businesses, a well-defined metrology or process-integration problem is a better way to navigate the show than an undirected tour of equipment.
